Webinar: "Archaeological findings, land, sea and new technologies"

The application of new technologies, such as digital representation and processing, augmented reality and artificial intelligence models, can offer innovative and effective tools for the protection and promotion of Greek cultural heritage, contributing to the preservation of monuments for future generations.

The conference aims to inform the public and stakeholders (i.e. ephorates of antiquities) about technological means that can help preserve cultural heritage, record new finds, as well as promote cultural heritage to the general public. Finally, the institutional context of excavations on land and at sea will be discussed and there will be an attempt to highlight technological solutions.

During the conference, the technologies of 2 research projects of EKETA will be presented, i-blue culture and U-Archeorov and one of the University of the Aegean, Archaeroma which have in common the promotion and preservation of cultural heritage.

The webinar will present the technologies of the research projects I-blueCulture, U-ArchaeoRov, and Archaeorama, which have as a common objective to promote and preserve cultural heritage.
